Christmas Aftermath

It's been a good two weeks since I took a week off for Christmas. Christmas was a fun time. I decided to vacate the office for the whole week between Christmas and New Years, so I had a good long time to spend with the family. D and Kim decided to come into the office for two days between Christmas and New Years, and I hear it was pretty dead during that time. I did the same thing last year (only because my wife was working during the same time.) but decided not to do it this year. Instead I stayed home, played with my new Nintendo DS I got for Christmas, and took care of the baby.

But now the holidays are over and work is back into full swing. Well I guess holidays are over for some, and for others they are just beginning. Kim has been off for most of the week this week, because she is getting married tomorrow. After that, she will be in Europe for a while on her honeymoon. So, she gets to have an extended January Vacation.

In other cubicle news, we have welcomed a new co-op student, Andre, into the bullpen. He started this week and sits in front of me at the low end of the cubicle totem pole. Maybe some day I'll write a little bit about the cubicle hierarchy... but not today.

In other cubicle news, D is looking at building a fence on his property in BC and planting some trees. He is currently pricing fences and trees and developing ways to get cheap water on the land. If you'd like to learn about how much fence posts costs, come talk to him.
